Wendy Nelson graduated from Hartford High School in 1986, and from VTC in 1988, and has a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science for Veterinary Technician. She has been working locally in the veterinary field as an office manager, head technician, and groomer since graduation. She joins the HVC staff in August of 2015 bringing all those years of experience with her. She grew up locally in West Hartford Vermont and still lives there today with her husband Carl, daughter Amanda, and a cat and two dogs. She and her family live “off-grid” and find that to be a daily challenge. Her hobbies used to include archery, following her daughter’s ice hockey career, and a good glass of wine. She now busy being Practice Manager again at Hanover Veterinary and help keep the homestead going where she can.
Samantha DiBattisto

Samantha DiBattisto

Technician

My name is Samantha DiBattisto, and I was born and raised in Connecticut. I moved to New Hampshire to be with my boyfriend at the time, back in the summer of 2019, who is now my husband. I have been in the Veterinary field as a Technician since 2014. Since I was a child, I have had a passion for animals and always had a canine companion since I was two years old. Right now, we have two Brussels Griffon named Rufus and Phoebe. If you have ever seen Star Wars, they look like little Ewoks.

I have my certificate in Veterinary Assisting and my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. After finishing my schooling, another passion I have is the environment. I have learned that every single living thing in the environment is sacred for our survival, which is why my love for animals and the environment has grown on me so much. Furthermore, those passions have made me come to the conclusion that I want to be a Game Warden officer. Well, I hope you have enjoyed reading a little about me and if you wish to know more feel free to ask.

Dawn Mead

Dawn Mead

Receptionist

I have been at Hanover Veterinary Clinic for almost 3 years. I was a Medical Imager & Clinical Instructor for several decades. After that much time in one profession, I needed to make a change. transitioning from Medical care for people to medical care for animals was a refreshing change! I love helping people and their pets get the care they need.

I live in White River Jct., VT with my husband of 30 years, Steve. We have a cat Jerry Garcia (aka) Jerry. He was given up by someone that was caring for him as he lost his mom at a very young age. Jerry is a handsome Tuxedo he is a very intelligent, funny, and good cat at home. However, after being frightened by a dog at the vet clinic he must be fully sedated for all his exams and tests!

We have one adult daughter Molly, that lives “too far away” in Austin, TX. The distance is difficult, but we are happy for her as she is doing well and is successful in her career.

Dawn continues to enjoy her role as CSR Supervisor at Hanover Veterinary Clinic and hopes to grow along with the company.

Taylor Wilson

Taylor Wilson

Hi, my name is Taylor! I’m a born and raised Vermonter. I grew up in Hartford, VT and I graduated from The University of Vermont with my Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, Pre-Vet in 2020. I have always had a passion for animals. My dream ever since I was a little girl is to go to vet school to become a veterinarian. Prior to working in the field of veterinary medicine, I worked with dairy cows and even a little bit with horses! I have a kitten named Remington. Some fun facts about me and what I like to do for fun are, cows are my favorite animal, I love running and hiking, music is my favorite pastime, and I hunt/fish.

Hi, my name is Christa! I just moved to Vermont in June from St. Petersburg Florida.  I have been in the veterinary field for the last 19 years and I love it so much. I have been married for 15 years to my husband Keith and we have two boys Colin and Corey, two dogs Carl and Stewart, two cats waffles and whiskers, and two ant colonies.  It is definitely a full house.  So far I am enjoying the beautiful summer and excited for my first Vermont winter. When I’m not working I’m exploring New Hampshire and Vermont, love going to live music especially the band Dirty Heads. I’m excited to get to know all our clients and their fur babies.

Caitlin Hutt

Hello, I’m Caitlin. I grew up in Chesterfield, NH, and graduated from Keene Highschool in 2008. I moved to Kentucky shortly after getting my Associates’s degree in applied science as a Veterinary Technician. I moved back north in 2015 as I continued my career and now have 10 years of experience working in animal medicine. I have 4 wonderful children who all love the outdoors. We spend a lot of our free time at the race track or going on adventures.

Matt Wojciak

Matt Wojciak

Hi, I’m Matt Wojciak. I was born & raised in southern New Hampshire, and have since settled in Bradford, VT with my partner Alyssa, accompanied by our dog Bagel, and our cats, Duke & Luna.

In the past, I worked as a corporate financial analyst and then a carpenter’s assistant before deciding to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. I began the Veterinary Technology program at Vermont Technical College in August 2021, and I hope to graduate from the program in May 2023 and pursue my CVT
certification thereafter.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending lots of time outdoors walking, hiking, birding, bicycling, and working on stewardship projects around our 5.7-acre property. In the house, I enjoy woodworking, home improvement, and cooking – especially with homegrown or locally-sourced ingredients.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Hanover Veterinary Clinic team, and look forward to working with all of you – our fantastic clients! – and your loveable animal companions.
